Jack Burgess – Yosemite Valley RR
Description
The Yosemite Valley Railroad created by Jack Burgess is innovative in many ways. Jack has thoroughly researched the Yosemite Valley RR and has written a book and over 240 articles on the subject. The layout was one of the first double-deck layouts and represents the railroad in circa August of 1939. All of the 100+ structures were scratchbuilt and are based on actual structures which were there in 1939. Many of the YV freight cars, cabooses, etc. were also scratchbuilt. All of the track and turnouts were handlaid.
