Jeff Escott – The Tuolumne & Sierra Foothill Railroad
Description
The T&SF is a freelance short line N scale version of the Sierra Railroad. Set around the last day of summer, 1910, the railroad operates out of Sutter (Jamestown in real life) and climbs north through a helix to Angels Camp and south with tunnels and trestles through China Grove and Carson Hill to arrive at Tuolumne. The line serves the mining, lumber and cattle industries as well as other local businesses along the way. We also interchange and share trackage rights with the SP which connects us with Los Pinos to the north and north and south staging as well.
The layout runs point to point with connections for continuous running. Car cards and waybills are used with a casual timetable and train order operation. Train control is through Digitrax tethered and radio throttles, with several sound equipped steam locomotives
